That claim carries weight when you consider a separate announcement: TSMC and Amkor Technology have signed a 10-year partnership to expand advanced packaging capacity in Arizona. For those betting on the market side of GPU scarcity, Hydra Host raised $100 million in a Series A to build what it's pitching as a tradeable marketplace for GPU compute — essentially making scarce AI processing power as liquid as a commodity. The timing is not accidental.

China's Chip Progress: Real, But Still Lagging

An independent lab teardown of SMIC's 7nm process — the technology behind Huawei's most advanced chips — gave the clearest picture yet of where China actually stands. Intel's Odd Week: A Ghost and a Partnership
