The Snapshot
We're tracking 2,374 open AI/ML roles today. The market is broad but lopsided toward Europe, and a handful of employers are doing outsized hiring. Below is where the demand actually sits.
Regional Distribution
Europe dominates with 1,149 roles (~48%), nearly half of everything tracked. The US follows at 760 (~32%), and India is a strong third at 433 (~18%) — together these three account for over 98% of openings. The rest of the world (26) and the UAE (6) are thin by comparison. If you're location-flexible, Europe is where the volume is; if you want US-based work, expect more competition for fewer postings.
Who's Hiring Hard
One name towers over the list: Bespoke Labs with 176 openings, mostly US-based Machine Learning Engineer roles. After that the field spreads out: Capital One (69), EnthuZiastic (46), IU Internationale Hochschule (35), Tata Consultancy Services (32), SonderMind (31), Reply Deutschland (29), Jobgether (27), Booz Allen Hamilton (25), Deloitte (21), Lieferando (20), and Mindrift (17). Note the mix: a few AI-native startups, plus heavyweight consultancies (TCS, Booz Allen, Deloitte) and established enterprises (Capital One) — meaning plenty of demand sits inside traditional firms building AI capability, not just labs.
Common Role Types
The most repeated title is Machine Learning Engineer (senior and staff levels well represented), followed by Generative AI Engineer — frequently tied to specific stacks like Azure. Beyond hands-on engineering, there's steady demand for Data Scientists (including GenAI and security-cleared variants), MLOps / ML Platform Engineers, and AI delivery and consulting roles (AI Delivery Manager, AI & Process Analytics Consultant). Leadership is hiring too: VP of AI and Head of Machine Learning postings show up. A few entry points exist as well — internships at firms like ASML and even a trainee AI engineer track.
