We're tracking 3,088 open AI/ML roles today. Here's where the demand is and who's hiring.
Where the Jobs Are
Europe dominates with 1,502 roles (~49%), nearly half the market. The US follows at 870 (~28%) and India at 682 (~22%). Together these three regions account for 99% of tracked openings. The rest of the world (28) and the UAE (6) are rounding errors right now — if you're not in Europe, the US, or India, remote-friendly listings are your best bet.
Who's Hiring
Bespoke Labs is the standout, with 179 open roles — mostly Machine Learning Engineer positions, more than the next four companies combined. Capital One (108) is the largest enterprise hirer, showing finance's continued push into ML. Rounding out the leaders: EnthuZiastic (46), Reply Deutschland (38), IU Internationale Hochschule (35), and a tight cluster at ~30 each — Tata Consultancy Services, Jobgether, SonderMind, Lieferando, Deloitte, and Booz Allen Hamilton. Consultancies (TCS, Deloitte, Booz Allen) and German firms are heavily represented, mirroring the European skew.
The Roles
Three patterns stand out:
- Core engineering — "Machine Learning Engineer" and "AI Engineer" are the most common titles, from Bespoke Labs to Yotta and NCS Group.
- Generative AI specialization — a clear surge in GenAI/NLP roles (Haufe Group, Bahwan CyberTek, Intellectt), plus niche variants like LLM security engineering and Copilot Studio / Power Platform work.
- Early-career & contract — Europe posts many Working Student / Werkstudent and internship roles (Goodgame Studios, Mercedes-Benz, ARRK Engineering), alongside freelance ML gigs (Mindrift). Good entry points if you're breaking in.
Note SonderMind's listings are licensed therapist roles at an AI-driven mental-health platform — a reminder that "AI companies" hire well beyond engineering.
