Anthropic is rolling out a batch of changes to Claude Code, its AI coding tool. The headline addition is a built-in web browser. According to the-decoder.com, Claude Code now ships with a browser that lets the AI read, click, and type on external websites, and MLQ.ai reports this browser is integrated directly into the Claude Code desktop app.
Separately, Anthropic has changed how one feature is switched on. According to Tech Times, the company has removed the enterprise opt-in for Auto Mode, which is now turned on by default across major cloud platforms. That shifts the setting from something businesses had to enable to something they get automatically.
The company is also sweetening access. In a post on X reported by The Economic Times, Anthropic said it is extending Claude Fable 5 access on all paid plans and keeping Claude Code's weekly rate limits 50 percent higher, both through July 19.
Other updates round out the picture. Firstpost reports Anthropic has introduced Claude Reflect, a dashboard meant to help users track and manage their AI usage more mindfully. And on model performance, tech-insider.org reports that Fable 5 beats Opus 4.8 by 11 points.
