Pharmaceutical giant Boehringer Ingelheim has struck a drug-discovery collaboration with Immunai, an Israeli-founded artificial intelligence biotech company.
The partnership centers on a $15 million discovery deal, according to Fierce Biotech, which noted that Boehringer is the latest Big Pharma player to buy into Immunai's AI platform. The framing suggests other major drugmakers have already placed similar bets on the company's technology.
At the heart of the collaboration is Immunai's single-cell AI platform. The two companies will use it to identify T-cell targets in cancer and autoimmune diseases.
