Nvidia's upcoming RTX Spark N1X processor has turned up in a leaked benchmark result, and the numbers put it ahead of the flagship laptop chips from both of its biggest rivals.

According to VideoCardz.com, surfaced via Google News, the N1X outpaced AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and Intel's Panther Lake X9 388H in a leaked Geekbench 7 multi-core run. Geekbench is a widely used benchmarking tool, and its multi-core test measures how well a chip handles work spread across all of its processing cores at once — the kind of load you hit when compiling code, editing video, or running AI models locally.

The two chips the N1X reportedly beat are not minor competition. The Ryzen AI Max+ 395 is AMD's high-end offering for premium laptops and compact desktops, and Panther Lake is Intel's newer processor generation. Both were designed in part to handle on-device AI workloads, the same territory Nvidia is moving into.

A few caveats are worth stating plainly. This is a leak, not an official Nvidia disclosure, and the result comes from a single benchmark database entry rather than independent testing. Pre-release silicon often runs on immature firmware and drivers, and a single synthetic score does not tell you how a chip behaves in real software, how much power it draws, or what it will cost. Nvidia has not published performance figures of its own in the reporting cited here.

Why it matters: Nvidia already dominates the market for AI accelerators, and a competitive general-purpose processor would push it directly into the CPU business that AMD and Intel have long divided between themselves — potentially reshaping who supplies the brains of the next generation of AI-capable computers.
